A novel featuring Collins's detective Nathan Heller, based on events surrounding the July 1943 murder of Sir Harry Oakes in the Bahamas. Ian Fleming pops up as a agent of His Majesty's Royal Naval Intelligence in Chapter 22, and plays a pivitol role throughout the remainder of the book.
