Thrilling Cities (1963, 1964)
Based on two series of articles by Ian Fleming that appeared in the London Sunday Times in 1959 and 1960, Thrilling Cities takes the reader on a tour of thirteen of the world's most exciting locales. In addition to the “Incidental Intelligence” sections added to the end of each chapter (listing notable hotels, dining, and night spots), Fleming claims that material originally removed by the editors of the Times has been properly “impurgated” in the book. British editions of the book contain many photographs of the places visited by Fleming, while American editions contain drawings at the beginning of each chapter by Milton Glaser and the James Bond short story “007 in New York.”
